Hotel Overview

The Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort is Florida’s premier destination island resort, matched in perfect harmony with nature. Located on Amelia Island, Florida, just 29 miles north of Jacksonville International Airport, the 1,350-acre property overlooks the blue water of the Atlantic Ocean on the east and the green marshland and Intracoastal Waterway on the west.

The following negotiated group rates are available until Friday, January 10, 2020 or until the group block is full. Please note that group block is reserved per night. Please reserve early to ensure that all of your room nights can be secured at the group rate.

Room Type Group Rate
Standard Guest Room $240 per night plus taxes
One Bedroom Villa Upgrade $279 per night plus taxes
Two Bedroom Villa Upgrade $379 per night plus taxes
Three Bedroom Villa Upgrade $440 per night plus taxes

Claims Conference attendees are responsible for making their own travel and hotel arrangements. A set number of rooms are available at the group rate for registered conference attendees until Friday, January 10, 2020 or until the group block is sold out, whichever comes first. After this time, the hotel has the right to sell any available rooms at a rate which they choose. While NAMIC studies past attendance trends and the needs of our members, we cannot guarantee rooms will be available. Please plan ahead and secure your reservation as soon as possible to receive the group rate.

The resort fee of $25 per room, per night is waived for those rooms booked within the conference block. The resort fee includes these benefits:

  • Complimentary Self-Parking
  • Unlimited Deluxe Internet (3MB) access in guest rooms
  • On-property Resort transportation service
  • Unlimited use of Health & Fitness Center
  • In Room Coffee Service
  • Two 12 oz bottles of water upon arrival
  • Resort beach access

Hotel rooms within the Claims Conference block are for registered conference attendees. If you make a room reservation and are not registered for the conference, your hotel rate and resort fee will be charged the list rates at the property, if rooms outside of the block are available, or you can register for the conference to maintain the reservation.

To ensure that enough hotel rooms are available for conference attendees, NAMIC reserves the right to limit attendees to one room per registered attendee within the discounted guest room block. If this occurs, additional rooms can be reserved at the hotel's list rates as long as rooms are available.

If you book your hotel room through your own means (online services, etc.) these policies and discounts may not remain in effect, your room may not be counted within the conference guest block, resort fees will apply, and NAMIC may be unable to assist should guest room issues arise.
Please contact events@namic.org should you encounter any problems with making hotel reservations.

The Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort offers nine dining outlets throughout the property. Greater Amelia Island and the surrounding areas offers more than 90 restaurants featuring local seafood, international delicacies and more. Due to the resort destination, food costs tend to be higher than urban destinations and some resort outlets do not accept cash payments (room charge or credit card only). Please plan your budget accordingly.

The Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort resides within a larger private resort community, called Amelia Island Plantation. Access to Amelia Island Plantation is controlled through a security gate. For those registered for the conference and those with a room under their name at the Omni, access through the gate should be seamless. If you are sharing a room, please ensure that all guest’s names are associated with the room reservation. Those who are registering on-site for the conference can receive temporary access by referencing the “NAMIC Claims Conference” at the gate. Registration will be required to re-enter the security gate. More information about the security gate at the Amelia Island Plantation area can be found here.

Please contact events@namic.org should you encounter any problems with making hotel reservations.

Housing Alert

Occasionally, groups claiming to be a “Housing Bureau” (or a similar name) have contacted registered and/or previous attendees of the NAMIC Claims Conference claiming the ability to secure room reservations at the host hotel at a discounted rate. Please be aware that these companies are not authorized to represent NAMIC, and cannot secure rooms within the group room block. Unfortunately, this problem is becoming more prevalent among conferences. If you are considering alternative housing arrangements for the conference, please keep in mind that there are benefits to booking your reservation through NAMIC including discounted rates, protected reservations, and the ability for NAMIC staff to assist you with a reservation should you experience a problem. NAMIC cannot be responsible for any issues arising out of booking with a third-party entity.

How do I secure a legitimate reservation with NAMIC?
The only way in which conference attendees can make a room reservation within the NAMIC room block is by using the direct link or phone number provided in the confirmation email once a conference registration has been completed. If you experience any issues in making your hotel reservation, please contact Amy Thornburg.

Who should I notify if I am contacted?
If you are contacted by a company indicating they can secure a hotel room for the conference, please do not share any personal information with them, and report the incident to NAMIC immediately at athornburg@namic.org.
