Members of the United Nations-sponsored Net-Zero Insurance Alliance are reportedly in talks on whether the group could be reconstituted and widened to include regulators and brokers to establish best practices on how to calculate and reduce the insurance sector’s carbon impact.
The alliance had grown to nearly 30 members by early 2023, but has since seen membership fall to 11 non-U.S. insurance companies.
