Health care is the largest portion of costs in the workers’ compensation system. In 2025, this now includes alternative treatments such virtual reality, cannabis and— coming soon— psychedelics for post-traumatic stress disorder. This session will also discuss other trends that impact cost and efficacy such as pharmacy, health care staffing, and increasing adoption of a whole-person recovery methodology.
