As the industry’s workforce continues to age and experience elevated levels of voluntary turnover, strategic succession planning is more important than ever. However, fewer than half of insurers have formal succession plans for senior leadership roles, and just a quarter have plans in place for middle management positions. This session will share insights on the industry’s succession readiness as well as considerations for approaching broad and deep succession plan development in the context of today’s labor market. The session will focus on how insurers can best retain and develop high-potential and high-performing individuals at all levels to cultivate future-proof workforces ready to move their companies forward.
