The issues of retirement, burnout, and consolidation within healthcare are not just issues for private insurance and Medicare, but also for workers’ compensation. The math is simple and sobering – there are already shortages of clinicians that will become more pronounced over time. Being forewarned is forearmed, so this session will discuss not just the issues, but also some methods that can mitigate their impact. Because medical treatment is approximately 60 percent of all workers’ compensation costs, no stakeholder can ignore this challenge.
