Biography

Jonathan Rodgers serves as NAMIC’s policy vice president – solvency and has held several roles in operations and public policy since joining NAMIC in July 2006. Rodgers is responsible for leading efforts to develop and advocate NAMIC’s industry-related solvency, financial, and accounting policies. Jon has forged industry positions and strategies to reach constructive solutions and built industry coalitions as necessary to advance NAMIC member interests.

Rodgers has provided testimony, authored dozens of comment letters and position papers, and has successfully advocated in front of numerous regulatory- and standard-setting bodies, such as the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, the International Association of Insurance Supervisors, and the Financial Accounting Standards Board.

Rodgers began his career at NAMIC as a staff accountant and has developed a passion for implementing innovative ideas and finding better methods to help streamline critical processes and improve efficiencies for the clients he serves. Most recently, Rodgers was responsible for leading the NAMIC accounting department and helped to modernize and develop new processes and reporting, as well as implement new financial management software for the association.

He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Eastern Michigan University and a master’s degree in finance from Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
