Biography

Crista Hassett serves as Senior Vice President of Events, Education, and Association Services at NAMIC, where she is responsible for overseeing in-person and virtual educational initiatives, as well as providing executive management for NAS, the association management division of the organization. With more than 20 years of experience in association marketing, membership, and operations, Crista brings a strategic and comprehensive approach to association management. Over her tenure at NAMIC, she has served as Executive Director for multiple associations, providing leadership in governance, financial oversight, member engagement, and long-term planning.

Crista has held several education- and meeting-related roles during her tenure with NAMIC, gaining deep expertise in event design, technology implementation, marketing, content development, committee management, and operational execution. Prior to joining NAMIC, she served as Membership and Marketing Director and later Director of Business Operations at the YMCA, where she earned the organization’s Senior Director Certification focused on nonprofit executive leadership.

Crista holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism and a certification in marketing from Purdue University. She is a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), holds the Certificate in Meeting Management (CMM), and is an active member of Meeting Professionals International.
