The NAMIC Innovation Fund is a shared platform exclusively for NAMIC members to evaluate and access innovation resources that may be difficult to source independently.
The Fund was developed with Sandbox Industries, an asset management firm with more than 20 years of experience managing innovation-focused funds, including work with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, which is comprised of thirty-three independent, and mostly mutual or non-profit insurance companies. Together, NAMIC and Sandbox bring association leadership and venture fund expertise to help members access innovation in a structured, collaborative way.
The NAMIC Innovation Fund establishes a collaborative platform that enables participating members to:
- Access vetted Insurtech and technology startups.
- Identify solutions to shared strategic challenges.
- Participate in innovation partnerships and pilot opportunities.
- Gain insight into emerging market trends.
