2006 Hurricane Season Falls Short of Projections

A collective sigh of relief rumbled throughout the Gulf Coast and Eastern seaboard on Nov. 30, the last day of the U.S. hurricane season. With earlier predictions foretelling another rough season, those in the most dangerous hurricane-prone areas were spared from the devastation of the last two seasons.
