A workers’ compensation form approval modernization bill, SB 137, passed out of the Colorado Senate Business, Labor, & Technology Committee on a 6-0 vote. The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies submitted written testimony supporting passage of the bill.
“NAMIC supports this bill because it is a reasonable regulatory modernization bill that will help streamline and economize the regulatory review process for workers' compensation forms,” said Christian J. Rataj, NAMIC’s senior director of state affairs for the West region. “The proposed legislation is consistent with the national trend toward moving away from prior approval of forms in workers’ compensation.”
