Re: NAMIC Opposes Proposed Amendment to Hawaii’s Workers’ Compensation Prompt Payment Legislation

“NAMIC submitted written testimony to the Senate Committee on Judiciary and Labor in opposition to SB 2127 because the proposed legislation would create confusion as to when workers’ compensation insurers must pay temporary partial disability benefits and could increase the likelihood of insurance fraud that adversely impacts workers’ compensation insurance rates for employers and benefits available to workers with legitimate injuries.”
