Arkansas Senate Transportation to Discuss Accident Response Fee Ban Monday

Arkansas HB 1895, an Act to Prohibit the Imposition of an Accident Response Service Fee, will be discussed by the Senate Transportation Committee Monday morning, March 30.

As you know from earlier Member Alerts, this bill has successfully moved through the House, thanks in part to your efforts to contact legislators and encourage them to vote for the bill.

We now need your help to do the same thing on the Senate side. NAMIC urges you to contact members of the Senate Transportation Committee (see below) before their meeting on Monday morning and ask them to vote in favor of HB 1895.

We would appreciate being informed of contacts you are able to make.

Senate Transportation, Technology and Legislative Affairs Committee

Members:

Committee member Sen. Larry Teague informed us that he has agreed to be the Senate sponsor of the bill, so if you contact him, please thank him for his support. It’s always a good thing when we can do that. His contact information is 870-845-5305, teaguel@arkleg.state.ar.us.

If you have questions or need further information, please contact NAMIC State Affairs Manager Liz Reynolds at lreynolds@namic.org.
