North Carolina: 'Beach Plan' Moves One Step Closer to Governor's Desk

The North Carolina Senate Commerce Committee today passed HB 1305, legislation to reform the state's "Beach Plan." Initially, the bill was scheduled to go to the Senate Finance Committee, however, that hurdle was bypassed in favor of moving the bill directly to the full Senate for consideration.

With movement of the bill to the next stop toward Senate passage, we are moving closer to recalibrating the current system that is out of balance.

NAMIC extends its gratitude to the North Carolina member companies that assisted in the passage of this important legislation by contacting committee members asking for a "Yes" vote on this bill.

We ask that you keep the pressure on by contacting all senators asking them to support HB 1305 during the floor vote.
