RMS Estimates Insured Losses of Less than $750 Million from Hurricane Dolly

Risk Management Solutions estimates that insured losses from Hurricane Dolly—a Category 2 storm that hit southwest Texas near the border of Mexico July 23—will be less than $750 million. This figure includes wind, flood, and storm surge damage to residential, commercial, and industrial properties, as well as crop losses and business interruption resulting from power outages. Approximately 500,000 people are expected to be impacted by the storm.
