Effective date: April 24, 2008. |

Effective date: June 26, 2008. |

Amends the Motor Vehicle Code; includes State Police, County Emergency Communication Center, and municipal Emergency Mobile Communication Units, as well as other specified emergency vehicles, in provisions granting a waiver from commercial licensing requirements; makes conforming amendments; provides that holders of non-CDL Class A or non-CDL Class B licenses are limited to operating vehicles within the State unless there is a reciprocity agreement with adjoining states. Effective date: May 27, 2008. |

Amends existing law the requires a court issuing a civil judgment to report the existence of that judgment to the Secretary of Transportation so the Secretary may suspend the license of the person against whom the judgment is rendered. Places the burden on having the judgment reported on the holder of the judgment rather than the court; provides a definition of the types of case judgments to which these provisions shall apply. Effective date: June 30, 2008. |

Prohibits a sponsor from allowing the holder of a Level 1 Learner's Permit to drive without the required defined supervising driver; provides that a sponsor who violates the provisions of this bill is guilty of an unclassified misdemeanor, punishable by a fine, incarceration, or both, and may include restitution or other conditions as the court considers appropriate. Effective date: July 3, 2008. |
