Relates to the maximum finance charge allowed for consumer loans secured by a certificate of title to a motor vehicle and making penalties applicable. Effective: July 1, 2007.

Motor vehicle insurance - traffic offenses

Relates to a peace officer's statements to a person operating a noncommercial motor vehicle and holding a commercial driver's license who has been requested to submit to a chemical test in an operating-while-intoxicated case. Effective: July 1, 2007.

Relates to various matters under the purview of the insurance division of the department of commerce including workers' compensation self-insurance, premium taxes, the uniform securities Act, powers and duties of the insurance division, regulation of insurance sales to military personnel, domestic insurance companies, life insurance companies, nonprofit health service corporations, external review of health care coverage decisions, investment limitations on insurers other than life insurers, property and casualty insurers' reserves, motor vehicle service contracts, county and state mutual associations, reciprocal or interinsurance contracts, protected cell companies, licensing of insurance producers and public adjusters, and life and fire insurance company boards of directors, and providing penalties. Reorganizes Code chapter provisions relating to the authority to engage in the business of insurance other than life insurance by transferring provisions, eliminating outdated provisions, and amending corresponding provisions, as necessary. Effective: July 1, 2007.
