Motor vehicle insurance - commercial auto

Provides exemptions from certain motor carrier regulations for any vehicle operated for intrastate commerce in connection with agricultural pursuits or transportation of agricultural products or commodities, livestock, or farm machinery and supplies, related to or produced by a person's farming or other agricultural operations or for noncommercial purposes, and commercial motor vehicles of a specified gross vehicle weight operated solely in intrastate commerce for the transportation of persons or property. Effective: September 1, 2007.

Tort reform -- miscellaneous

Relates to the filing of supersedeas bonds by taxpayers; lowers the supersedeas bond requirement to 125% of the amount of the final assessment or judgment; provides alternatives to filing the supersedeas bond; raises the monetary limit for taxpayers who are not required to file a supersedeas bond; provides that a taxpayer who fails to satisfy the requirements would have 30 days to cure the deficiency. Effective: June 15, 2007.
