Would add new provisions to allow for the identification of uninsured vehicles and establishes procedures for demonstrating proof of coverage, revocation of registration and reinstatement of registrations.

Omnibus Insurance Law Changes

SB 233

Would effect comprehensive set of changes to exiting insurance laws impacting medical malpractice reform, auto and homeowners coverage, cancellation and rate change requirements, compensation disclosure for producers, policyholder's right to loss and claims history information.

Workers' Compensation

(Compensable Injuries - Spine and Neck Injury Coverage)

HB 1011

Would amend the definition of a compensable injury to include injuries to the neck and spine.

(Compensable Injuries - Employment-related Injuries)

HB 1101

Would amend the definition of a compensable injury to clarify circumstances under which an injury would be considered as having arisen in the course of employment.

(Attorney Fees)

SB 47

Would amend provisions related to the award of attorney fees in the recovery of compensation for medical benefits.
