NAMIC continues to focus on delivering resources to practice good governance and we have developed a new seminar series focus on board members. The Boot Camp is designed to educate board members of mutual insurance companies on their role in the company by addressing the more complex issues and risks involved in strategic decisions and the key areas needed for understanding the mutual insurance industry. The curriculum is consistent for each Boot Camp and is led by a core group of faculty.
Focus on the Foundation
This section of the series will be hosted in conjunction with NAMIC's Annual Convention - an event that many member-company board members attend each year. Each year, the optional session at Convention will focus on two or three of the key areas.

The Boot Camp, an in-depth workshop, will focus on elements of the key areas included in "Focus on the Foundation" but additional important issues will be covered and discussed

The Boot Camp will be offered twice in 2007: February 2-4 (link to event calendar) in the Southwest and August 12-14 (link to event calendar) in the East. Each Boot Camp will address all of the key areas.
