Area Attractions

Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina is close proximity to so many fun things to do in San Diego, which makes it the perfect vacation resort. Beautiful Beaches
San Diego offers 70 miles of Pacific beaches, all open to the public. Mission Beach, just four blocks from the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay, features Belmont Park and stretches north to the shores of Pacific Beach and onto the cliff-side beaches of La Jolla and Torrey Pines. To the south, just across the Sunset Cliffs Bridge, lie Ocean Beach and the breathtaking Sunset Cliffs. Guests enjoy swimming, surfing, skin diving, scuba diving, pier fishing, volleyball, basketball, seaside shops, restaurants, strolling, skating and cycling along the oceanfront boardwalk. The Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Marina Boardwalk offers guests everything from speedboats to rollerskates.

Coronado Island
This small "island" town is approximately 7.4 square miles in size and boasts unique downtown shops and restaurants as well as an award-winning beach. Coronado is the home of the famous Hotel Del Coronado -- a must see in San Diego. Experience the old-fashioned ferry ride from Broadway Pier to the Old Ferry Landing.

Gaslamp Quarter
Located in the southern part of 5th Avenue downtown, the historic Gaslamp Quarter features San Diego's premier shopping, dining, entertainment, and nightlife.

Historic Old Town & Presidio Park
See San Diego's Spanish and Mexican history and culture come alive. Enjoy a wide assortment of food from authentic Mexican to delicious Cold Stone Ice Cream. Explore the Presidio Mission, California's first mission or visit the Whaley House, an officially designated haunted house. A guided tour of Old Town is available in front of Casa de Machado y Silvas.

Seaport Village
Right on San Diego harbor, this quaint area offers a variety of boutiques, restaurants, and entertainment. You'll find something for everyone - a lagoon, a carousel, a marina and more - when you explore the tropical grounds of Seaport Village.

Balboa Park
Located just north of downtown, Balboa Park is the nation's second largest park. The park is home to the World Famous San Diego Zoo, 15 of San Diego's famous museums, renowned performing arts venues and beautiful gardens.

San Diego Zoo
Just minutes away at the northern edge of Balboa Park, the world famous San Diego Zoo is home to the $1.3 million Gorilla tropics and the famous Panda Bear exhibit from China with Hua Mei, the first surviving giant panda born in North America. See the Sun Bear Forest, walk through the Tropical Rain Forest and explore Tiger River. Discounted tickets are available from the Hyatt's concierge.

Belmont Park
Located only steps away from the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay, this oceanfront amusement park offers a variety of entertainment for the entire family. Guests of Belmont Park can enjoy a ride on San Diego's historic "Giant Dipper" rollercoaster or take a spin on the Liberty Carousel. The park features restaurants, shops, entertainment and a large indoor lap pool known as the "Plunge."

Legoland California
Explore the amazing Legoland family theme park where kids are in the driver's seat and parents can join in on all the fun. Play all day on more than 40 fun filled rides and adventures. Nearly all the rides are kid-powered which means you can push, pull, pedal, program, steer, squirt, slide, splash, crawl, climb, build and drive.
