The Agricultural Risk Inspection School is a popular and intensive two and a half-day program for loss control specialists, underwriters, managers and supervisors. Fundamental topics that are covered include the inspection process, farm machinery and equipment safety, electrical systems, confinement concerns, understanding LP gas and more. An exciting new feature is the option to attend either basic or advanced sessions. One of the highlights of the school is the farm visit where attendees go through a hands-on inspection of an area farm.
"It is a great opportunity to network with other companies and individuals throughout the country to see and compare what we are doing in our own backyard. As an office manager, I see and advise my board and agents on the many things I learn in going to these schools that sometimes doesn't even occur to them." Rebekah L. Deters - Office Manager "This was my first NAMIC meeting that I've attended and I thought it was excellent over all. Since I'm in underwriting and not in the field it gave me great insight at what loss control looks for. This will help me to underwrite more effectively, knowing exactly what to look for and what areas of concerns are." Chris Niehus - Underwriter |
