Political Action Center
Political and grassroots participation by NAMIC member companies is critical to our success in promoting good public policy at all levels of government.
NAMIC’s Political Action Toolbox is an information resource on the political process that outlines ways member company employees can play an active role in our democratic system.
Whether it’s basic information such as registering to vote, or more involved participation such as a state chairman for NAMIC’s Political Action Committee, the Toolbox will show you the way.
About the NAMIC Political Action Committee (NAMIC PAC)
NAMIC’s Political Action Committee (NAMIC PAC) is a membership sponsored effort organized to financially support candidates running for federal House and Senate seats whose position on insurance regulation and a free-market business environment most closely represent the initiatives of NAMIC and its member companies. NAMIC PAC channels resources into the congressional races that will have the most impact on the insurance industry. The PAC is a voluntary, non-profit political action committee and operates independently of any political party.
NAMIC PAC is a vital part of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies Federal Affairs program – a program that includes professional lobbying, legislative analysis, grassroots contacts, and long-term political relationships. NAMIC PAC strives to educate Congress about our industry and guarantees that no decision is made that will affect our industry, good or bad, until our voice is heard.
NAMIC PAC is governed by a Board of Trustees, chosen from the NAMIC membership, which sets basic policies regarding who will receive the PAC’s support.

Give NAMIC PAC prior approval to communicate with you.NAMIC PAC wants to communicate with you and we cannot unless you sign the NAMIC PAC authorization form.
A successful PAC is an important part of becoming an effective trade association and making an impact for our industry. Once you give the NAMIC PAC authority to solicit your organization, NAMIC PAC will send a letter only to the individual named on the authorization form. That individual can then decide whom, if anyone, they wish to offer the opportunity to voluntarily contribute to the NAMIC PAC .
We need your authorization to communicate with your organization. Each individual can choose if they want to support the NAMIC PAC and help ensure that we elect those candidates who recognize the needs and concerns of the property/casualty insurance business.
Please join other mutual insurance companies in giving NAMIC the tools we need to fight against more federal regulations by signing an authorization form today!
Q: What is the NAMIC PAC?
A: The NAMIC PAC is a voluntary, non-profit political action committee that was established to extend financial support to federal candidates who agree with our position on insurance regulation and a free-market business environment. The NAMIC PAC operates independently of any political party.
The Congressional Contact Program is gearing up for its 21st season beginning on March 29. Representatives from mutual insurance companies across the country are scheduled to spend two days in Washington to discuss issues affecting the industry.
