The fire in the home of Tim and Celeste Salge in New Braunfels, Texas, started at about 2:30 a.m. on March 11, 2006. It sparked to life in an electrical outlet into which an electric heater was plugged. Although the heater wasn't on, something failed in the electrical wiring, sparks flew, a fire started and spread up the inside the wall into an attic storage area. From there, it spread rapidly, still unnoticed, through the attic and upper part of the house.
