Texans welcomed thousands of evacuees from Louisiana when Hurricane Katrina barreled across the central Gulf Coast on August 29. Little did they know that they would be fleeing again just a few weeks later when Hurricane Rita decided to make her presence known across the western Louisiana and eastern Texas coast line. Residents of the affected areas are still trying to clean up the mess that this deadly hurricane left behind. Although this storm could have been much worse, the residents of many small Texas towns seemed to disagree.
