INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 15, 2006) - The former director of public affairs for Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, Liz Reynolds, has joined the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) as state affairs manager for the southeastern United States.
Reynolds, who ultimately will be stationed in Jacksonville, Florida, will advocate on behalf of NAMIC member companies before state legislatures and departments of insurance in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
"Liz brings a unique perspective to her new position since she has previously worked for two of our member companies," said Neil Alldredge, vice president of state and regulatory affairs. "She is a native of South Carolina and has a broad understanding of property/casualty issues that will serve our members well in the southeast region of the country."
Prior to joining Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance in December 2002, Reynolds worked seven and a half years at South Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance where she was policyholder and legislative representative and then the company's corporate communications director. Reynolds chaired the NAMIC Public Affairs Committee from 1996 to 2001. She also worked for seven years as director of development for the South Carolina Wildlife Federation.
"I am very pleased to be joining NAMIC's state advocacy team, and I am looking forward to relocating to the southern United States to represent the interests of our member companies in that part of the country," Reynolds said.
Reynolds holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of South Carolina and the CPCU and API professional designations.
