California: Governor’s Emergency Services Property Insurance Surcharge Proposal is Back ... Again
AB 36, Emergency Services: Property Insurance Surcharge, was introduced Feb. 9 in the Assembly. The bill would create an Emergency Response Fund in the state Treasury funded by a surcharge imposed on property insurance (commercial, residential fire, and multi-peril insurance coverage) policyholders issued or renewed on or after July 1, 2010.
