"We're glad the House recognizes the harm an NFIP lapse would cause and that they have acted to avoid one on May 31. But we echo their call for a Senate vote on reauthorization and reform. The sides are too close, and this bill is too important, for this bill to fall victim to partisan politics.
The 'Flood the Hill' campaign has made real progress in urging Senate action over the last few weeks. We are hopeful they get the job done next week. It's about time."
