In the Spotlight: III's Industry Financials and Outlook
The Insurance Information Institute (III) Web site has a wealth of interesting and useful information. Of particular note is the section of the website called Industry Financials and Outlook. Each quarter, the III's Chief Economist, Dr. Robert P. Hartwig, shares his insights into the latest financial developments in the property/casualty insurance industry. Included in each quarter's commentary are detailed discussions on premiums, losses, profits, the view from Wall Street, the outlook for the future, and more. A detailed income statement for the industry is also included. In addition to the quarterly commentaries, the III also provides online access to its annual Early Bird and Groundhog survey reports, which are based on polls of leading Wall Street analysts.
