Don't Forget to Consider Electrical Hazards During Spring Planting Season

Planting season is underway, and with it brings long hours in the fields for farm workers. Safe Electricity, a multi-media public awareness program designed to provide information to consumers and compliment the safety-education activities of utilities and educators, urges farm workers to evaluate their activities and work practices that take place near power lines. Many workers are killed each year when their farm equipment makes contact with overhead power lines. By following a few safety rules these tragic accidents can be prevented.
