Rhode Island recently enacted legislation requiring all insurance carriers doing business in the state to participate in a program to intercept liability and workers’ compensation claims payments greater than $500 and reimburse the state if there are outstanding Medicaid liens. Carriers have the option of doing the data match via ISO or the state’s Medical Assistance Intercept System.
Webinar sessions describing the MAIS program will be held over the next two weeks.
