In this column that goes out with every special edition of the Advocacy Update related to the NAIC, I usually have a fairly sharp (and hopefully humorous) take on an issue or on the NAIC in general. But today, I just don’t have it me. Oh, I could once again berate the NAIC for its process of handling issues or closed-door meetings, or any other of the oldies but goodies. Fear not, those things are all still there, and after I return from the meeting I’m certain I’ll be in a fighting mood about something. But for today, I’m taking the easy route, this space is devoted to a different style – I’m just going to provide some bullets and random thoughts about the upcoming meeting that hopefully are useful.


Access Denied

In order to access members-only content, you will need to make sure you that you are a NAMIC member and that you are currently logged into the website.


I AM A MEMBER. Why was my access denied?

I am not logged into the website.
In the upper right hand corner you will need to enter your NAMIC.org username and password.

I forgot my username/password.
In the upper right hand corner, select "Forgot Password?". After submitting the form, you will receive an email which contains your username, a temporary password, and a link to reset your password.

I have never registered for NAMIC.org.
In the upper right hand corner, select “CREATE ACCOUNT”. Please be aware that you will initially be logged into NAMIC.org as a non-member. It can take up to 1 business day to process a member access request. You will receive an email when your request has been approved. You will then need to log out of the website and log back in to view member content.

I recently registered for NAMIC.org, but my status is “non-member”.
It can take up to 1 business day to process your request for member access. Once you have received the welcome email from NAMIC, you will then need to log out of the website and log back in to update your access level. Please see the full process below.
