Climate Change Working Group Will Learn About Wet Munis

During a recent NAIC teleconference, we learned that the main event at the meeting of the Climate Change and Global Warming (E) Working Group will be a presentation from Andrew Logan of Ceres titled “The Ripple Effect: Water Risk in the Municipal Bond Market.” Given the presentation’s intriguing title and that it was Ceres that originally conceived the proposal to create the Insurer Climate Risk Disclosure Survey, we asked Logan and Commissioner Mike Kreidler of Washington, who chairs the working group, to post the presentation on the working group’s web page so that interested parties could review it in advance of the Philadelphia meeting. Both men agreed that this was a good idea, and Logan assured us that he would promptly make the presentation available for posting. Alas, as this is being written, the presentation has yet to appear on the working group’s website. We had planned to share it with our readers and comment on it, but apparently that will have to wait until after the Philadelphia meeting.

Access Denied

In order to access members-only content, you will need to make sure you that you are a NAMIC member and that you are currently logged into the website.

I AM A MEMBER. Why was my access denied?

	I am not logged into the website. In the upper right hand corner you will need to enter your NAMIC.org username and password.

	I forgot my username/password. In the upper right hand corner, select "Forgot Password?". After submitting the form, you will receive an email which contains your username, a temporary password, and a link to reset your password.

	I have never registered for NAMIC.org. In the upper right hand corner, select “CREATE ACCOUNT”. Please be aware that you will initially be logged into NAMIC.org as a non-member. It can take up to 1 business day to process a member access request. You will receive an email when your request has been approved. You will then need to log out of the website and log back in to view member content.

	I recently registered for NAMIC.org, but my status is “non-member”. It can take up to 1 business day to process your request for member access. Once you have received the welcome email from NAMIC, you will then need to log out of the website and log back in to update your access level. Please see the full process below.
