We all remember how the 111th Congress handled the issue of reforming the National Flood Insurance Program. Or didn’t handle it, as it were. Which is why we were pleased to hear from the majority staff of the House Financial Services Committee that they were prepared to have a frank and open discussion about the future of the NFIP this year, before the program is set to expire on Sept. 30, 2011.
