Although still battling over a few remaining issues in the lame-duck session, the life of the 111th Congress is almost over. Given the level of activity we saw from Washington in the last two years, I am sure there are many of us breathing a collective sigh of relief. In the course of our preparations for next year, I believe NAMIC is well positioned to launch a proactive and meaningful agenda in the new Congress. It is through things such as NAMIC PAC investing more than $547,000 on pro-growth, pro-business candidates in the 2010 elections that have allowed us to cultivate key relationships on Capitol Hill – the real value of which has begun to emerge.
