Washington: NAMIC Opposes JUA Bills in Public Hearings, Amendments Likely to be Offered Addressing Some Concerns of Insurers

The two JUA bills, HB 2560 and SB 6240, were heard in their respective chamber insurance committees last Wednesday. NAMIC’s contract lobbyist, Jean Leonard, who also represents the Washington Insurers Group and State Farm Insurance Company, testified on behalf of her clients about the public policy problems that will result from the proposed Excess Flood Insurance JUA.
