Congress Returns From Recess With Packed Summer Agenda

Congress returned from a weeklong recess yesterday to a packed legislative calendar. With a supplemental war-spending bill, a cap-and-trade climate proposal, a healthcare reform package, and a Supreme Court nomination, the overhaul of the financial services regulatory system shares space on a crowded agenda. However, the House Financial Services Committee has committed to working on this issue and has already scheduled several hearings.
