Maine: NAMIC Testifies Against Bill That Would Allow Third-party Unfair Claims Suits

NAMIC testified at an April 27 hearing in opposition to trial bar-backed legislation to expand Maine’s unfair claims practices statute to allow for direct actions by insureds and third-party claimants alike and to provide for recovery of punitive damages, attorneys fees and costs.
