Pelosi Calls for Commission on Financial Crisis

Last week, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., called for the creation of a commission to study the causes of the financial crisis. In a conversation she had with Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, she urged him to establish a commission as soon as Congress returned from the spring recess. Speaking before the Commonwealth Club of California, Pelosi explained that Americans are “very, very unhappy about these bailouts,” and they just want to know what happened.
