Connecticut: NAMIC-opposed Credit Ban Bill Converted to Extraordinary Life Exception Bill Prior to Committee Approval
Legislation that would have prohibited insurers from using credit information in the underwriting and rating of auto insurance business was amended to replace the ban with provisions calling for exceptions of the use of credit for certain extraordinary life circumstances before it was approved by the Insurance and Real Estate Committee on March 12.
