Attacks on the use of credit-based insurance scoring are more serious than ever before. So far in 2009, at least 44 bills have been introduced in 24 states that would either severely restrict or completely ban the use of credit-based insurance scoring. It is also likely that Congress will introduce legislation to ban use of this tool later this year.
