Tennessee: Insurance Department Releases Overview of Changes for Insurance Producers

Commissioner Leslie Newman addressed changes affecting insurance producers licensed in Tennessee in an Aug. 21 bulletin. Among the changes are a shift of the renewal date for producer licenses, expansion of continuing education requirements, and changes to fees allowable for sale, solicitation, negotiation, and referral.

Also of note in the amended law, the department will begin taking disciplinary action against producers not properly authorized to do so in Tennessee.
