North Carolina: UM/UIM Coverage to be Mandatory; 'Short' Session Winding Down

Despite the “short” session focus on the North Carolina state budget, one bill in particular affects the insurance industry and policyholders. HB 738 mandates that drivers carry uninsured or uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage with limits equal to the highest limits of bodily injury liability coverage for any one vehicle insured under the policy.
