Market Regulation Committee Floats Accreditation Program

During its wrap-up meeting on Monday afternoon, the Market Regulation & Consumer Affairs (D) Committee made public for the first time a draft Market Regulation Accreditation Program. The committee had discussed the possibility of market regulation accreditation for insurance departments for several years but the release of the draft dated May 21 represents a major step toward putting such a program in place.
