Iowa: Governor Signs Omnibus Insurance Bill; Commissioner Announces Start of Implementation Process

Gov. Chet Culver signed into law House File 2555, the omnibus insurance bill, that, among other things, creates a consumer advocate within the Insurance Division.

"The focus will now turn to how the bill is implemented," said Mark Johnston, NAMIC's Midwest state affairs manager. "Insurance Commissioner Susan Voss has announced the first steps that will be taken by her office. NAMIC will definitely be involved in the process."
