By Bob Detlefsen, NAMIC Vice President - Public Policy
The task force heard reactions to its "Climate Risk Disclosure Proposal" from two panels whose members were invited to testify by task force Chairman Sean Dilweg (Wis.) An industry panel consisting of representatives of NAMIC, AIA, RAA, and PCI was sharply critical of the proposal. A second panel, consisting of representatives from Ceres, the Center for Economic Justice, and the Rockefeller Family Fund-whose proposed climate risk disclosure interrogatories were included verbatim in the task force proposal-spoke in favor of the proposal and commended the task force on its excellent work.
