NAMIC Vows to Battle Treasury’s Call for OFC

A long-awaited report from the Treasury Department released yesterday was disappointing, as it called for the creation of an optional federal charter. Though the report covered a much broader financial area than just insurance, it nevertheless recommended a shift in insurance regulatory authority away from the states to the federal government.
