Minnesota: Bad Faith Bill Sent to Full Senate

According to NAMIC's Minnesota state trade partners, the Senate Judiciary Committee passed S.F. 2822, the Trial Lawyers Bad Faith bill, early last week and referred it to the Senate floor. Later, the committee rejected S.F. 3116 – the insurance industry’s preferred language.

On Friday, NAMIC distributed an action alert to members domiciled or writing in Minnesota, requesting they contact Senate leadership asking that they vote "no" when the bill is brought before the full Senate.

"This situation is very fluid," said Joe Thesing, NAMIC's director – state affairs. "Stay tuned for additional updates throughout this week."

Direct questions to NAMIC's Director – State Affairs Joe Thesing or State Affairs Manager Mark Johnston.
