NAMIC Vows to Battle Against Unintended Consequences of Consumer Protection Legislation

Legislation to reform the Consumer Product Safety Commission includes a provision that would serve more to expand opportunities for litigation than to increase product safety, said Marliss McManus, NAMIC’s senior federal affairs director. The bill, the CPSC Reform Act, was passed by the Senate last week by a vote of 79-13.
