West Virginia: Commissioner Briefs Industry as Legislative Session Begins

Insurance Commissioner Jane L. Cline met with the West Virginia Insurance Federation, a NAMIC advocacy partner, on Wednesday and indicated that the major legislative issue for property/casualty carriers continues to be privatization of the workers' compensation system. She also announced that the insurance department is drafting a series of bills to continue the turnover of the workers' compensation risk to the private market.
