Massachusetts: Bulletin Requires Notice to Claimants When Funds Sent to Attorneys

The Massachusetts Division of Insurance has issued a bulletin requiring insurers to send written notice to third-party claimants when they issue settlement funds more than $5,000 to the claimants' attorney or other representative.
